New Delhi , Dec 05, 2014: About 1,000 advocates of the Belagavi Bar Association (BBA) have threatened to leave for Bengaluru and stage an indefinite sit-in in front of the residences of the Chief Minister and Law Minister T.B.Jayachandra from November 17.
The protesters from ten taluks are demanding a Belagavi bench of the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal, association vice-president Praveen C. Mothimath said here on Tuesday.
The BBA said it has been demanding a KAT bench at Belagavi for many years. Mr.Jayachandra gave it an assurance but a decision has been delayed. The association fears that the bench may go to Dharwad.
