Bangalore, Sept 22: The Karnataka High Court on Saturday has stayed the two year ban imposed by All India Tennis Association (AITA) on Mahesh Bhupathi and his doubles partner Rohan Bopanna.

HC stays Ban

Meanwhile, AITA in its response to the legal notice sent has said that it is not against the players and that its legal team will soon respond to the notice.

Earlier, AITA had imposed the ban on both the tennis players for not agreeing to terms of the tennis association on Olympics team selection.

However, last week a disturbed Bhupathi had called a press conference and lashed out at the AITA and termed the tennis body as "detrimental for the Indian tennis".

But Bhuapathi had hinted of taking a possible legal action against AITA challenging the ban. "It seems that I have no choice left but to accept this ban and since all of you today are willing to hear what I have to say."
