Local BJP workers have alleged that Communist Party of India (Marxist) activists were behind the attack in Thiruvananthapuram.

As per police, some men pelted stones also, which led to the damage of vehicles parked in the office complex.

A case has been registered and a probe is underway, police said.

As per ANI, the CCTV footage reportedly showed a Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) State Committee member IP Binu and Students` Federation of India (SFI) State Secretary Prajin were lurking around the premises during the time of the attack.

BJP Kerala president Kummanom Rajasekharan was in the building during the incident, party sources said.

Six cars, including that of the state president, were damaged, they added.
