Kulbhushan death sentence: India warns Pakistan of dire consequences

NEW DELHI, April 11, 2017(DHNS) : India on Tuesday warned Pakistan of consequences on diplomatic relations if death sentence awarded to former Indian navy official Kulbhushan Jadhav was carried out.


Kulbhushan.Making a statement in Rajya Sabha during zero hour, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj condemned the decision of the military court and said ’all charges against Kulbhushan Jadhav are concocted, farcical. There is no evidence of wrong-doing by him".

“India will go out of the way to get justice for Jadhav. Entire country is with Jadhav and his family and government will provide all help to him for further legal battle including hiring top advocates in Pakistan Supreme Court. Even at the President level, the Government will take up the matter”, she said.

Innocent Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran and several false charges have been framed against him. He was denied justice as per the laid down international practice, she added.

"There is no evidence of any wrong doing against him, she cautioned. “I am in touch with his family members and entire country with his family”, she said.
