Lawyer’s Body Found Near Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court Complex; Murder Suspected

New Delhi, April 17, 2015: A lawyer was found dead in a pool of blood early this morning near the Tis Hazari court in Delhi.
The body of Rajeev Sharma, a resident of Rohini in northwest Delhi, was found near a dhaba, or roadside eatery, behind the court complex in north Delhi.
The police say they suspect the 38-year-old lawyer was murdered last night, following a scuffle at the dhaba. He had a wound on his head that looks it was inflicted with a sharp weapon, said the police. The lawyer still had on his court wear. The body was found on a street where there are several lawyers’ chambers. The police have detained 10 people for questioning.
District Court lawyers have called a strike today to protest against the suspected murder.
