yedyurappaBengaluru, August 6, 2017 (PTI): BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa on Saturday declared that he and other leaders of the party were ready to accept the challenge thrown by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah about reopening of cases against them through ACB. Addressing the party’s meet at Palace Grounds, he said, “This shows that the ACB was formed to protect his ministers and harass opponents. This is nothing but revenge politics. This move will boomerang on the Congress.”

The meeting was a precursor to the state executive meet to be held on Sunday. Yeddyurappa said the recent Vistarak programme infused fresh enthusiasm in the organisation. “We have been able to take the performance of the Modi-led government and the pro-people programmes launched by the then BJP government in the state.

People have given us their overwhelming support,” he said. He also said there had been 19 cases of attack and murder in the state on BJP and RSS workers, including that of Sharath Madivala in Mangaluru. “But the killers have not been identified despite the police having distinct clues,” he said. Referring to the Veerashaiva-Lingayat issue, he criticised Siddaramaiah for dividing the society.
