Mangalore Today News Network

Mysuru, September 29, 2024: The Mysuru Lokayukta police are set to launch an investigation into the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam, which has put Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah under scrutiny. Four teams have been formed, with fieldwork beginning Monday. In a new development, complainant Snehamayi Krishna has filed a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), calling for an investigation under the Money Laundering Act.

MUDA Scam

Krishna’s 16-page complaint accuses CM Siddaramaiah of misusing his power to illegally acquire 14 plots in his wife’s name, intensifying the political tensions. Lokayukta SP Udesh held a meeting to finalize the investigation strategy.

According to Krishna, the scandal has caused substantial damage to the state exchequer, with the CM and his associates accused of favoritism, power abuse, and obtaining illegal benefits. The petition calls for the central agency to take over the investigation to ensure accountability and restore public trust in the system.
