Bangalore, March 24:  The five cases of land scam against Karnataka Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa, will now be probed by the Lokayukta. A special court transferred the cases to Lokayukta today and it has been asked to submit its report within six weeks.

Till now it has been held by the BJP members that there is no case against the Chief Minister and these are only allegations. The charges have been levelled by two lawyers who have sought the sanction of Governor, H R Bhardwaj, to prosecute Yeddyurappa in various cases including the denotification of land.

Earlier, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had said he would quit and take sanyas from politics if the charges are proved.

Revanna, son of former Prime Minister H D Devegowda, had claimed that he had documents regarding purchase of Rs 1,000 crore worth of lands in benami names in Shimoga district and in and around the city by Yeddyurappa and his family members.
