Madhya Pradesh woman inspector poses as bride to nab murder accused

Madhya Pradesh, Nov 30, 2019:   Police in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh used an unusual tactic to catch a murder accused. A woman officer sent her photo posing as a bride to the accused following which the accused was caught.

 

The incident happened in Naugaon in Chhatarpur district, where a person accused of murder, Balakishan Chaubey, was absconding. After being produced in a local court, he was sent to jail.

Police had conducted raids in his hideout several times but were unable to nab him. When some sources told police that the accused was looking for a girl for marriage, Sub-Inspector Madhavi Agnihotri sent an old photo of herself posing as a bride to the accused through a friend of him. On seeing the photo, the accused agreed to meet the woman.

When Balkishan reached the place fixed for the meeting, police arrested him.

The Superintendent of Police had announced a reward of Rs 10,000 rupees cash on Balakishan since he had many cases registered earlier against him.
