The incident was reported on Tuesday from Bihta, Patna, where a son shot his father and mother over not giving share from the pension.

Munarika Yadav was a retired railway officer and was living with his elder son, Ramesh.

Yadav, after retirement, received 22 lakh from the Railways as a pension. He gave eight lakh each to his sons, Ramesh and Avdhesh and kept six lakh for his wife and himself. But Avdhesh, the younger son, was not satisfied with the money given by his father. Avdhesh often used to demand money from his father.

He was also not in favour of his father paying for the education of Ramesh’s children. Avdhesh, who got into a fight with his father on Tuesday, shot his parents multiple times late at night.

The police have sent the bodies to Danapur for post-mortem. Ramesh’s family claimed they saw Avdhesh shooting his parents, said Ranjit Kumar, Station Incharge.

The police are currently looking for Avdhesh. An FSL (forensic) team has been called to investigate the matter as well.
