Bengaluru, Mar 27, 2024: The anti-corruption agency Lokayukta is conducting wide-spread raids on government officials at different locations in 13 districts across Karnataka on Wednesday morning, officials said.
Over 100 Lokayukta sleuths are carrying out simultaneous raids at 60 locations across Bengaluru, Bidar, Ramanagara, Uttara Kannada districts, among others. In Bengaluru, five locations are being raided, sources said.
The search is headed by 13 Superintendents of Police and 12 Deputy Superintendents of Police.
In January, the Lokayukta in Karnataka had raided residences of government officials at 40 locations in connection with 10 corruption cases. The raids were conducted simultaneously in Tumakuru, Mandya, Chikkamagaluru, Mysuru, Koppal, Vijayanagara, Ballari, Hassan, Chamarajanagara, and Mangaluru.
