Mastermind of Acid Attack on Woman Doctor Was Another Doctor

New Delhi, Dec 25, 2014: Two men have been arrested for throwing acid on a woman doctor in a crowded neighbourhood in West Delhi earlier this week. Police sources said they believe another doctor was the mastermind of the horrific attack which left the woman with serious burns on her face and a damaged right eye.

CCTV footage from the busy market in Rajouri Garden shows two men on a motorcycle with their faces covered by their hoodies pulling up next to the victim, whose face was also wrapped with a scarf, and brazenly flinging acid at her as she rode her scooter. The 30-year-old woman was on her way to work at a hospital nearby.

The woman reportedly screamed for help, but passers-by walked and cycled past.
