Yahoonews reports said that he was joined on stage by other opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Sitaram Yechury, Yogendra Yadav, Sharad Pawar and Farooq Abdullah.

The second day of the Kisan Mukti March witnessed opposition leaders unite to fight for the cause of farmers. As Congress president Rahul Gandhi aptly put it, “Our ideologies might be different, but for the future of our farmers and youth, we are all united and present on this stage.”

The leaders slammed the BJP government for “betraying” and “lying” to the farmers.

"“The BJP failed to keep all the promises that they had made to farmers before elections. Their biggest promise was to implement theMS Swaminathan report. Farmers will get benefits of 50 on 100. But the sad thing is that the BJP government has issued an affidavit in the Supreme Court that they can’t implement the report. No government can betray further.”" - Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister, Delhi "“If the loans of 15 people amounting to 3.5 lakh crores can be waived, then the loans of crores of Indian farmers will have to be waived.”" - Rahul Gandhi, President Congress

On Friday, the protesters marched from Ramlila Maidan, where they had taken refuge after day-long demonstrations, to the Parliament Street in the national capital.

The All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), in collaboration with over 200 other farmers’ outfits, has organised the protest to push for the demands of the farmers, including debt relief and remunerative prices for their produce.
