I’m excited to announce that Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India will be visiting Facebook HQ later this month for a Townhall Q&A.

Prime Minister Modi and I will discuss how communities can work together to address social and economic challenges.

We want to hear your questions. Please ask them in the comments below and we’ll try to get to as many as possible.

The event will be on Sunday, September 27 at 9:30am pacific time. I’ll post the live video here and it will also be on Prime Minister Modi’s page.

I had the chance to visit Prime Minister Modi in India last year and it’s an honor to have the chance to host him here at Facebook.

I thank Mr. Mark Zuckerberg for the invite to visit the Facebook HQ. I look forward to the Townhall Q&A on Sunday 27th September at 10 PM IST (9:30 AM Pacific time).

The interaction will cover a wide range of issues and will surely be a memorable one.

This programme will be incomplete without your participation! Share your questions on Facebook.

I urge you all to share your questions on the ’Narendra Modi Mobile App.’ Your questions will make this a programme to be remembered.

For his part, PM Modi thanked Zuckerberg for his invitation. Modi said he is looking forward for the Townhall Q&A which "will cover a wide range of issues and will surely be a memorable one".

Like the Facebook CEO, Modi also urged his followers on the social networking site to share their questions on his post, and also on his mobile app.

The event will take place on September 27 at 9.30am Pacific time (10pm IST), Zuckerberg told in the post, also saying that a live video feed would be posted on his and PM Modi’s page.

The Facebook CEO also recalled his previous meeting with Modi during his visit to India in October. "I had the chance to visit Prime Minister Modi in India last year and it’s an honour to have the chance to host him here at Facebook," said Zuckerberg.

At the October 10 meeting in New Delhi, the young billionaire had also asked PM Modi to identify some domains so that Facebook can help the government’s Digital India initiative.
