New Delhi, Sept 16, 2020: A video featuring Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera deriding Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the border standoff with China has gone viral on social media platforms.
“A similar kind of situation with China arose in 2013 when we were in power. During those days, late Arun Jaitley used to fire a volley of questions at us in Parliament and we used to respond. What has changed so much in seven years that the ruling dispensation can’t have a debate on it," he asked during a debate on a TV show.
When Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member, GVL Narasimha Rao intervened, Khera got even more aggressive. "GVL, you shouldn’t intervene. You come under-prepared and have no idea what you talk about. You keep out of it. You’re a juvenile man and don’t know how to talk."
Do you think Defence Minister @RajnathSingh’s statement in Parliament should have been debated or was it not necessary? Lt Gen @atahasnain53 (R), Cong’s @Pawankhera and BJP’s @GVLNRAO share their views on #Newstrack with @ShivAroor.
