Ambikapur, Sept 7: Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s election campaign committee chief Narendra Modi while addressing a rally at Ambikapur attacked the Congress and said that the party’s arrogance is scaling new heights. Launching a frontal attack on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, he said that though he is ’doctor of the rupee’, his treatment of the Indian currency has landed it in the hospital. He also said that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s statements on poverty have poured acid on the wounds of the poor.
He added that the Congress does not consider people as citizens but as vote-banks. He accused the UPA government of taking the decision to create Telangana only to satisfy its ’vote-bank’.
Modi said that all states with BJP government like madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh are fulfilling the aspirations of the citizens. Without naming Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said that some governments have a habit of going to Delhi and crying for help.
