Mumbai boy dies by suicide after mother stopped him from playing mobile games

Mumbai, June 09, 2022: A 16-year-old boy in Mumbai died by suicide on Thursday after his mother did not allow him to play mobile games. Police said he jumped in front of a train after leaving a suicide note for his mother.

 

According to the Dindoshi Police, the boy’s mother took his phone away on Wednesday evening when he was playing games on his mobile phone and asked him to study. Afterwards, he wrote a suicide note and left home.

When his mother reached home and read the note, it said he was going to commit suicide and that he would never return. The family members then informed the Dindoshi Police station and the police started searching for the boy.

After the police received information that someone had jumped in front of a train between the Malad and Kandivali stations, they rushed to the spot. An investigation revealed that it was the same boy who had left the suicide note.

The Borivali Government Railway Police (GRP) has registered a case and started further investigation into the matter.
