Lucknow, Oct 1, 2010: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board will study in detail the Allahabad High Court verdict in the Ayodhya title suit when its legal committee meets in New Delhi on October 9.
"The 10-member committee will meet on October 9 to deliberate on the court verdict in detail," member of the Board Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firnagimahli told PTI.
This will be followed by a meeting of the 51-member executive committee of the Board in New Delhi on October 16 to discuss strategies on challenging the verdict in the Supreme Court, he said.
Majority of the Board members felt that the verdict should be challenged in the Supreme Court but a final decision on it would be taken at the executive committee meeting, he said.
"AIMPLB is aggrieved by the verdict and the Muslims parties in the case will file an appeal in the Supreme Court in due course," Mohd Abdul Rahim Quraishi, AIMPLB Assistant General Secretary had said in Hyderabad yesterday.
