New Delhi, Aug 3, 2013: The National Investigation Agency has said that it has arrested a key jihadist Abdul Sattar. According to sources, the NIA said Jattar is linked to the cell that planned large-scale strikes across southern India.
Sources have told Network 18 that the NIA arrested Sattar in New Delhi last week, after he was deported from the Middle East. He will be produced at a Kerala anti-terror court on Saturday.
Among other blasts, he is being investigated for the serial bombs in Bangalore and Chinnaswamy stadium attack of 2010, say sources. The NIA said SIMI’s ex-leader Safdar Nagori provided IEDs and firearms training to Sattar in Kerala’s Kottayam.
