Bangalore, Oct 15, 2012 : In a shocking incident, a 21-year-old student of the country’s leading National Law School in Bangalore was allegedly gang-raped on Saturday night.
The police, quoting from the complaint of a boy who was with the victim in a car, said that a group of 6-8 drunk men attacked the boy first. They beat him up, dragged him out of the car and took him about 500 metres in the Jnanabharathi campus in the Bangalore University - a thickly forested area.
In his complaint, the boy further said that as he was returning, he found the girl as well as the men missing. He then rushed to the police station and on his complaint, the police combed the area. The boy later said that he received a call from the girl, a second-year undergraduate student, alleging that she had been gang-raped and the accused looted her - her iPad, iPhone and other valuables were taken away. The boy is from Kerala and works for an IT company. The police said that initially they did not find any injury marks on the girl as well as the boy, but are awaiting the medical report. The cops are, meanwhile, continuing the combing operation to nab the accused.
The police also say that for about 20 days, the forested area has been closed for vehicles at night. They say that the duo might have sneaked in.

Dear Sir, It is surprising that the rape crime is committed and still no arrests have been made. Thanks to the ability and speed the bangalore police work. It only appears that the law protectors were as asleep while crime slipped underneath their nose. Thanks to police. Doubtfully, What security they provide to citizens. And it is happening under BJP rule! |
