Andhra Pradesh, January 3, 2025: Two Indian Navy officers participating in an operational demonstration fell into the Rama Krishna beach in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam after their parachutes got entangled during descent on Thursday.
The officers had a close shave while participating in an operational demonstration rehearsal of the Eastern Naval Command, when their parachutes got mixed up. Fortunately, none of the officers were harmed during the mix-up and they managed to reach the shore safely.
A video showed both officers in free fall as their parachutes got entangled, with one officer carrying the national flag. The two officers could not control the descent as they fell into the waters of the Rama Krishna beach.
The Indian Navy MARCOS are fine. They did not collide; instead, the parachutes had become entangled. The rescue boats were nearby and reached the location where they had fallen.#Vizag pic.twitter.com/SRoKqJplhV
