New Delhi, Sep 11, 2021: As many as 73 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country so far, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday.
According to a provisional report, more than 56 lakh vaccine doses have been administered till 7 pm on Friday.
The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late in the night, the ministry said.
Cumulatively, 55,58,79,974 people across all states and Union Territories have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine, while 17,38,70,750 beneficiaries have been administered the second dose as of September 10. This adds up to 72,97,50,724 total vaccine doses administered in India.
Among health care workers, 1,03,63,307 first doses have been administered. The number of second doses administered is 85,69,252.
Among frontline workers, 1,83,35,380 first doses have been administered. The number of second doses administered is 1,39,05,881.
In the 18-44 age group, 29,29,64,853 people received their first doses of vaccine. The number of second doses administered is 4,10,29,755.
In the 45-59 age group, 14,19,67,823 people have received their first doses of vaccine, while 6,16,31,140 beneficiaries have received the second dose.
In the 60 and above age group, 9,22,48,611 people were vaccinated for the first dose, while a total of 4,87,34,722 beneficiaries have taken the second dose.
