Kolkata/New Delhi, Apr 14, 2015: The family of Subhas Chandra Bose will hold a rally in Kolkata on Tuesday to pressurise the West Bengal government and the Centre to declassify all documents related to the freedom fighter.
The rally is scheduled at 2 pm in central Kolkata.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who met Netaji’s grandnephew Surya Bose in Germany, has assured help in bringing out the truth.
Surya Bose said that the PM assured that he would look into the matter right away as he too felt that the truth should come out.
Surya Bose’s cousin Ardhendu said, “PM has assured him that he will study the issue very carefully and take whatever steps are necessary to declassify the file. Our request is to speed up the process; it’s already been 60-70 years.”
“Looking forward to the PM supporting us and also the people of country,” he added.
The mystery surrounding Netaji’s death came back to the public discourse after recently declassified Intelligence Bureau documents revealed that the former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru had spied on the family of Bose for two decades from 1948 to 1968 both in India and abroad.
