No illicit relations between Major Handa, Shailza, says victim’s brother

New Delhi, Jun 28, 2018 : Major Amit Dwivedi’s brother-in-law Sukaran Kaliya has denied the media reports which claimed that there were illicit relations between his sister Shailza and the accused Major Nikhil Rai Handa, who brutally murdered her.

Sukran said that if families stationed in a particular Army unit sit together, organise get-togethers and if women greet males, that should not be misunderstood.

"Even if they have befriended on social media that does not mean something else. The accused Major tried to violate the society norms," Anukaran said adding that, "There were healthy relations between my sister and her husband who was about to proceed on his UN mission. Both had also planned a world holiday trip. There was nothing like the illicit relationship between my sister and the accused."
HAPPILY MARRIED

Shukran Kaliya also claimed that Major Amit and Shailza were a happily married couple and had even planned to go on a world tour.
"They were very happy as Shailza and her husband would go on holidays and spend quality time with each other. One can see their photographs on the Facebook which show them as the happiest couple," said Sukaran.

Saddened by the death of his sister, Sukaran Kalia has demanded gallows for Major Handa.

Meanwhile, Major Amit Dwivedi, who refused to come on camera, told India Today that according to his information, the accused Major Handa had also followed Shailza upto Amritsar. He said that he was trying to get CCTV footage of the Cantonment area in Amritsar where he is believed to have stayed.
STALKING SHAILZA

Investigations have proved that Major Handa first stalked Shailza on Facebook with a fake ID and then befriended Major Amit Dwivedi.

According to the sources, Handa would follow Shailza wherever she would go. He had also followed her up to the hospital where she was getting physiotherapy sessions.

However, Shailza’s brother Sukaran Kalia refused to comment on the alleged stalking done by Major Handa.

"He may have followed her, but me and my family were unaware about it," said Sukaran.

FREAK OFFICER

Shailza’s brother Sukaran Kalia said that freak people like Major Handa should not be allowed to continue as this may result in incidents like this.

"This incident has shattered the family and is an eye-opener for the Army authorities that eccentric people like Handa can bring havoc in innocent people’s lives. I have lost my sister and my nephew has lost his mother. What was our fault," questioned Sukaran.

Sukran said that Shailza was a very ambitious women who also participated in some beauty pageants and was also a member of a charity organisation which worked for the destitute children.

"My sister was ambitious. She used to teach and feed underprivileged children. Does this mean that if one is ambitious one should start stalking, harassing her even kill her," Sukaran asked.
