OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s sister accuses him of sexual abuse, family responds

United State, January 8, 2025: OpenAI’s CEO Sam Altman has been accused by his sister, Annie Altman of sexually abusing her. According to the lawsuit filed in a federal court, Ann alleges that the abuse took place during their childhood, from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
In a statement released by Sam Altman along with his mother and brothers, the family has denied the claims as "utterly untrue."
Expressing concern for her well-being as she struggles with mental health challenges, the family asks for understanding and compassion towards their sister.
According to the statement, Annie receives monthly financial support, her bills and rent are paid for. The family has attempted to get her medical help, employment opportunities and buy her a house through a trust. Annie will continue to receive financial support for the rest of her life.
Annie has previously made similar allegation against her brother. She has also accused other family member for improperly withholding their father’s funds, as per the statement.
