PM Modi, President Putin Address Joint Statement: Highlights

New Delhi, Dec 11, 2014: Russia’s President Vladimir Putin held talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday as sanctions-hit Moscow tries to strengthen energy, defence and strategic ties in Asia.

India has agreed to identify a second site, in addition to Kudankulam, for Russian-designed nuclear power units.

PM Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed a joint statement in Delhi today. Here are the highlights:

We have outlined an ambitious vision for nuclear energy of at least 10 more reactors

Russia has offered to fully manufacture in India one of its most advanced helicopters...We will follow up on this quickly
