New Delhi, Jul 28, 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Basavaraj Bommai on taking oath as the new chief minister of Karnataka while lauding his predecessor BS Yediyurappa’s "monumental contribution" to BJP.
In a tweet, PM Modi said Basavaraj Bommai brought with him "rich legislative and administrative experience".
"Congratulations to Shri @BSBommai Ji on taking oath as Karnataka’s CM. He brings with him rich legislative and administrative experience. I am confident he will build on the exceptional work done by our Government in the state. Best wishes for a fruitful tenure," PM Modi said on Twitter.

Praising former chief minister BS Yediyurappa, PM Modi said the Lingayat strongman toiled hard and travelled across Karnataka to struck a chord with people for decades.
