Bengaluru, May 03, 2023: Heartwarming scenes were witnessed in Uttara Kannada district as Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Padma Shri recipients Tulsi Gowda and Sukri Bommagowda in Ankola.
The video shows PM Modi interacting with the Padma recipients. He shook their hands and exchanged warm greetings. When Tulsi Gowda tried to touch PM Modi’s feet, he stopped her and bowed before the two women and sought their blessings.

Tulasi Gowda, a tribal woman from Karnataka, was conferred the Padma Shri award for her contribution to the protection of the environment in 2021.
Sukri Bommagowda, known as "Nightingale of Halakki", was conferred Padma Shri for folk singing in 2017.
