Some 8000 people will also join the event at Duraiappah Stadium where a yoga demonstration is also being organised to mark the International Yoga Day, which is on June 21.

The stadium, named in honour of former mayor of Jaffna late Alfred Thambirajah Duraiappah, has been recently renovated by India at a cost of over Rs.7 crore.

This will be the first major stadium at the renovated stadium.
