New Delhi, Jan 12, 2024: Ahead of the inauguration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday released an audio message and said he will start an 11-day ’anusthan’ (special ritual) from today.
In an audio message posted on his official YouTube channel, PM Modi said he was fortunate to be a witness to what he described as a "historic" and "auspicious" occasion.
He said he was seeking blessings from all the people.
"Only 11 days are left for the ’pran pratishtha’ of the Ram Temple. God created me to represent the people of India during the consecration. Keeping this in mind, I am starting a special ritual for 11 days from today," he said.
He noted that it was difficult to articulate one’s sentiments at this time, but said he was making an attempt. "I am emotional. For the first time in my life, I am experiencing such feelings," he said.
"Some moments of life turn into reality only because of divine blessings. It is such a sacred occasion for all of us today and for the devotees of Ram spread all over the world. There is a wonderful atmosphere of devotion to Lord Ram everywhere," PM Modi added.
Officials said the Prime Minister will be following the arduous guidelines detailed in scriptures related to the ’pran pratishtha’ ceremony.
PM Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries will be attending the Ram Temple inauguration ceremony in Ayodhya.
Thousands of seers from across the country have been invited for the ceremony and the invitees also include families of the labourers who erected the Ram Temple.
Over 7,000 people are on the invitee list of the temple trust, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, including Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, industrialists.
