Responding to a question put by a Pakistani journalist, Musharraf said that Pakistan practices passive diplomacy and is isolated internationally.

“You tell me, does Pakistan have any respect, internationally? Our international diplomacy is flawed. Modi is dominating us, we are isolated internationally. Why have we admitted that Lashkar-e-Taiba is a terror group?” he said.

He further said that India didn’t agree that Kulbhushan Jadhav was an Indian spy, then why Pakistan has admitted that Lashkar-e-Taiba was a terrorist organisation.

Lauding his own governance, he said when was at helm of affairs, Pakistan practiced aggressive diplomacy.

Musharraf recently described terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba and its ‘front face’ Jamat-ud-Dawaa as patriotic organisations.

“They (LeT and JuD) are patriotic people. The most patriotic. They have sacrificed their lives for Pakistan in Kashmir…,” ARY News quoted him as saying.

Musharraf had supported 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind, Hafiz Saeed in the past. Saeed and Zaki-ur -Rehman Lakhvi are the most wanted terrorists in India.

The LeT was banned following the 2008 Mumbai attack in which 166 people were killed, while the JuD was declared as a foreign terrorist organisation by the US in June 2014.

JuD chief Saeed, accused of masterminding the Mumbai attack, had last month unveiled his political ambitions by formally announcing that his group will contest the 2018 general elections in Pakistan under the banner of the Milli Muslim League.
