Prayagraj, February 10, 2025: President Droupadi Murmu reached Prayagraj on Monday morning and took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Maha Kumbh Mela.
With her ceremonial dip at the Sangam Nose, President Murmu showcased her deep-rooted faith in Sanatan Dharma.

After taking the holy dip, the president also performed a pooja at Sangam Ghat.

President Murmu was welcomed by Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the airport.
Upon reaching Prayagraj, President Murmu fed migratory birds at Triveni Sangam. She was accompanied by CM Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel.

The president will remain in the Maha Kumbh Mela for eight hours and witness the grandeur and spiritual significance of the largest religious gathering in the world.
After the ceremonial dip, the president will perform pooja at Bade Hanuman Temple and Akshayvat.
In the Sanatan culture, the Akshayavat tree is considered a symbol of immortality. In Hinduism, the site has great significance and is also mentioned in ancient scriptures.
To support the initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to integrate religious events using modern technology, President Murmu will pay a visit to the Digital Mahakumbh Experience Centre.
The centre provides visitors with detailed information related to the Maha Kumbh Mela using advanced digital tools. By visiting the centre, the devotees from India and abroad are able to experience the event’s grandeur.
In the evening, the president will leave Prayagraj for New Delhi. The president’s visit will be historic and will also enhance the spiritual, cultural and religious significance of Mahakumbh.
The country’s first President Dr Rajendra Prasad had also taken a holy dip in the Maha Kumbh mela.
