Presidential polls will be held on July 17: Election Commission

New Delhi, June 07, 2017 : Election Commission of India on Wednesday announced that the polling to elect the new President of India will be held on July 17, 2017. The term of the current President Pranab Mukherjee will end on July 25, 2017.

Nasim Zaidi, Chief Election Commissioner, announced the date for presidential polls on Wednesday. He said that the notification for the presidential polls would be issued on June 14 and the last date for filing nominations would be June 28.
