Ahmedabad, Oct. 3, 2013: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday landed in BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi’s turf Gujarat ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. This is Rahul’s first trip to the state after Modi was named the BJP’s PM candidate.
Rahul is scheduled to meet Congress office bearers of Gujarat and party workers. Rahul is also scheduled to visit the Gandhi Bhawan, the state Congress Headquarters.
This will be followed by a meeting of the national executive of the National Students Union of India, the Congress’s student’s wing, and elected membes of local self government institutions.
He will have an informal meeting with the press later on Thursday evening. The following day, Rahul will travel to Rajkot, the former assembly constituency of Narendra Modi.
