Chennai, July 13, 2011: Tamil actress Ranjitha, who was reportedly seen in a steamy sex video with God-man Nityananda last year, is once again in news.

RanjithaThis time around, Ranjitha has filed a police complaint against Sun Network, Tamil newspaper Dinakaran and magazine Nakkeeran, for purportedly morphing and showing videos that portrayed her in compromising positions with Nityananda.

Talking to reporters, Ranjitha said that the government should take strict action against erring media houses: “They threatened me saying that if I come to Chennai I will be arrested. While a newspaper in Britain is condemned for hacking telephones, here, in the name of investigative journalism, they have placed video cameras inside an ashram and yet no action has been taken.”

When enquired about the delay in filing police complaint, the actress said she did not believe in previous government’s actions. "The change in the government has given me the courage to come out and demand action. I am an ordinary person with no political backing. People told me that if I had filed a complaint earlier, the then government would have taken action against me," Ranjitha told reporters.

She requested Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to immediately look into the matter. Ranjitha had left India on March 3, 2010 after a controversial video of hers with Nityananda was made public by TV channels.

When reporters asked why is she complaining now, Ranjitha retorted: “When I didn`t complain, you asked why I didn’t; now when I am complaining, you ask me why I am complaining.”
