Indore, Nov 06, 2014: At a hospital in Indore, masked men have been involved in a not-so-delicate operation for the past two days. With gloved hands, they display their find - a bucketload of rats.
So far, a pest control team has recovered around 2500 rats from the Maharana Yeshvantrao hospital, which is notorious for its rodent population. The hospital treats around 1,000 people in its Out Patient Department daily.
After years of ignoring the problem, the hospital has finally enlisted the help of a pest control company for Rs. 55 lakh to get rid of rodents in its premises. One of the three floors of the hospital has been sealed for the rat search.
Teams are going around the hospital using prawns, samosas and poisoned ghee to lure the rats out.
