Bangalore, October 16: After the festivities over the weekend, chief minister B S Yeddyurappa plans to once again revamp his cabinet by dropping and inducting ministers. More importantly, the state could have a deputy chief minister.
Yeddyurappa, who faced dissent after he dropped some ministers in the revamp last month, now plans to bring at least 10 new faces into his cabinet. This will be done by dropping four ministers and filling the existing six vacancies created following disqualification of 16 MLAs.
In the exercise this time, the buzz is that one of the Reddy brothers will be elevated to the deputy CM’s post. Tourism minister G Janardhana Reddy is reported to have stuck his neck out during the recent crisis with the understanding that either his brother G Karunakara Reddy or he will be the number 2.
