While KCR met Vijayan in Thiruvananthapuram in the evening, he is set to call on Stalin on May 13, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said in a statement. According to the statement, Rao and Vijayan, who heads the CPI(M)-led LDF government in Kerala, discussed "contemporary politics" in view of the Lok Sabha elections.

On Rao-Stalin meeting, the statement said: "Both the leaders are likely to discuss the current political scenario in the context of ongoing Parliamentary elections."

Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has also called his Telangana counterpart to discuss the matter, PTI reported.

The chief minister’s daughter and sitting Nizamabad Lok Sabha member K Kavitha had said recently that the regional parties not aligned with the Congress and the BJP will get 120-plus seats in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, and may hold the key to government formation.
