Bengaluru, Oct 6 2017 DH: Estranged AIADMK leader V K Sasikala, convicted in a disproportionate assets case, today got 5-day parole for visiting her ailing husband.
She was lodged in Parappana Agrahara jail in Bengaluru. Her husband M Natarajan is suffering from liver disease. She applied for 15 days parole but high court provided 5 days. Sasikala’s relative TTV Dhinakaran is outside the prison to receive her.
VK Sasikala, the former Jayalalithaa aide who was elected the AIADMK’s legislative party leader before being jailed in a disproportionate assets case in February, is out on parole to meet her ailing husband in Chennai.
When she reaches the Tamil Nadu capital later today, she won’t be able to meet her supporters, or give interviews to journalists.

Sasikala’s husband, M Natarajan, was admitted to the Liver Intensive Care Unit of Chennai’s Gleneagles Health City on September 10.
Her parole ends on October 11. She will need to be in her Bengaluru jail by 6 pm on October 12 - next Thursday.
