New Delhi, Feb 11, 2016: Delhi government will re-introduce the odd-even scheme, aimed at curbing pollution, from April 15 for 15 days in the national capital in its second phase, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday.
The odd-even scheme, aimed at curbing air pollution was implemented on a trial basis from January 1-15 in its first phase.
AAP MLAs, who organised Jan Sabhas on the same theme, have claimed that public opinion was "overwhelmingly" in favour of re-introduction of the scheme.
Some 78 percent of Delhiites want the Delhi government to reintroduce the odd-even scheme to curb the number of cars fuelled by petrol and diesel, a survey has shown.
Change.org, the world`s largest online platform for social change, said it shared the Delhi government`s odd-even questionnaire with its users in the city and saw an overwhelming response to it.
