Senior Chennai Cop Found Hanging In Officers’ Mess

Chennai, Feb 18, 2016:  A 32-year-old police officer was found hanging in Chennai this morning. N Harish, who was in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, was found dead in his room at the officers’ mess.

The police say no suicide note has been found. Mr Harish, a 2009 batch IPS or Indian Police Service officer, was from Karnataka.

He was recently transferred from Madurai. His colleagues suspect  he was depressed about not being promoted.
