Shocking footage: Youth flogged to death in broad daylight in Kerala

Kerala, Feb 02, 2016: In an alarming incident, a youth was beaten to death in broad daylight on the streets of Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram.

In the mobile footage, the victim Manakkadu Veettil Shabeer from Attingal, was held by assailants when he was riding on a bike with his friend.

Shabeer tried to flee but was chased down by the four men who repeatedly thrashed him with sticks and a bat

In the video which was put up on Facebook yesterday,  a voice can be heard crying out saying, ’Poor man, leave him’. To no avail, while one attacker caught on to Shebeer’s leg the other went on beating him lifeless.

Shabeer and his friend Unnikrishan were waylaid by a group of gangsters. Police inspector Vakkom said that the former was an eye witness to a murder committed by the four assailants, reports The News Minute.

Shabeer was immediately rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries by then. No arrests have been made yet.
