Six of a family commit suicide in Bengaluru

Bangaluru, March 12, 2015, DHNS: Six members of a family, including a paralysis patient, committed suicide at their residence in MPM layout in Nagarbhavi here on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Gangahanumaiah (57) a Bsnl employee, wife Jayalakshamma (54), a paralysis patient, first daughter Hemalatha (30), a software engineer, second daughter Vimala (28), a railway employee, son Yatish (26), unemployed, and last daughter Nethravathi (24), an engineering student.

The incident came to light when the tenant residing in the same building noticed that no one had come out, and when he checked through the window, found one of them hanging. Immediately, the the local police were informed.

The incident occured in the Jnanbharathi police limits and by the time police gained access into the house, all were found dead.

The police are further investigating the case.
