Suicide bomber detonates self near police check post in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi, Jan 20, 2015: In what is being said to be a suicide blast, a loud explosion was heard near Wah Garden police check post on Tuesday, injuring few cops, reports said.

Rawalpindi 2According to Twitter reports, the suicide bomber was aboard a bus coming from Peshawar and tried to escape when the cops stopped the bus for random checking.

According to Pakistani media reports, the police have confirmed the explosion to be a suicide blast.

Police officials and rescue team have rushed to the area and an investigation has been begun.
