Telangana student accidentally shoots himself dead during birthday celebration in US

United States, November 22, 2024: A 23-year-old Indian student died in the US after he accidentally misfired his hunting gun during the celebration of his birthday.

Hailing from Telangana’s Hyderabad, Aryan Reddy was celebrating his birthday on November 13 with his friends at his residence in Georgia’s Atlanta.

How did the incident take place?

The Indian student took the hunting gun that he had brought recently to clean it, ending up accidentally firing. The misfired bullet struck his chest, according to the officials.

His friends, who were in the flat but in another room, heard the gunshot and rushed to his room and found him lying in a pool of blood.

They rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Reddy was a student at Kansas State University, Atlanta where he pursued a Master of Science. His family lives in the Uppal district in Telangana.

His body will be flown to his hometown tonight.
