Mangalore Today News Network

Bhopal, August 8: In a shocking incident from Bhopal, a 23-year old teacher was killed by a tiger in a village near Pench Tiger Reserve. According to a Times of India report, the teacher identified as Manoj Dhurve was attacked by the tiger on Tuesday evening and his half-eaten body was discovered from the thick forests.

Dhurve worked as a guest lecturer in a primary school and had gone to the forest to collect mushrooms. When he didn’t return home, that made the villagers worry and they went in search of him. Except for his face and leg, the tiger had eaten most part of his body.

The villagers were able to locate his body after they found pug-marks and dragging marks. People suspect that the tiger population has increased and they are attacking human beings.

Last month, one person was killed and another had gone missing after two back-to-back incidents of tiger attacks took place in West Bengal’s Sunderbans.
