Kalagara, Feb 15, 2022: A two-year-old girl died tragically in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, February 13, after she accidentally fell into a vessel containing hot sambar. The incident happened in Kalagara village in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district. The child was rushed to a hospital, but she succumbed to burns on Monday.
Police said, as quoted by the New Indian Express, that Tejaswi, daughter of Siva and Bhanumat, was playing in front of her house, during her birthday. When her parents went to attend to guests and serve food, Tejaswi went to the kitchen, and while playing, she climbed a chair and fell into the vessel filled with hot sambar.
Upon noticing this, the couple rushed her to a nearby hospital in Tiruvuru. She was later shifted to Vijayawada on the recommendation of doctors. However, Tejaswi succumbed to her burn injuries and died on Monday.
Police have registered a case of accidental death and investigations are underway.
