UP Minister’s Shocker: ’Women Want to Be Raped, So They Allow Men to Rape’

UP, June 08, 2015: Uttar Pradesh Minister and UP Processing and Construction Cooperative Federation Ltd. (PACCFED) Chairman Tota Ram Yadav made a shocking and outrageous comment on Saturday when he said rape always happens with a mutual consent. He said women actually want to be raped and so they allow men to rape them.

 

"There is nothing like rape. Rapes happen with mutual consent," he told reporters.

Girls allow boys to do everything on her, but when it becomes public, she alleges rape, he said.

This is not the first time UP ministers and politicos making insensitive comments. Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav had drawn flak from his political opponents while saying most of the rapists are ’boys’ and ’boys’ are bound to make mistakes.

Ram Yadav’s latest comments have also sparked off an outrage with the Bharatiya Janata Party demanding sacking of the minister.

SP leaders, however, disassociated themselves from Yadav’s comments.

"The party and the government have taken cognizance of the statement and appropriate action will be taken. I would just like to clarify that he is not a Minister in the UP government as of now," SP leader Gaurav Bhatia was quoted as saying by the ANI.
