The first case was filed by Congress member Vivek Khandelwal in an Indore court.

Vaidik has been booked under Sections 124A and 132 of the Indian Penal Code.

The second case was filed in Varanasi and will be heard on July 25.

The Congress had demanded Vaidik’s arrest for the meeting while the Shiv Sena wanted him booked for sedition.

Vaidik met the Jamat-ud-Dawah chief at his home in Lahore on July 2 while on a tour of Pakistan along with a group of journalists and politicians invited to the neighbouring country by a research institute.
