Bareilly, Jul 25, 2019 : Banned terror outfit Indian Mujahideen has threatened to blow up the Bareilly railway station if ‘Kanwarias’ (worshippers of Lord Shiva) pass through Muslim-dominated areas in the city, according to a Times of India report.
One Munne Khan alias Mullah, ‘IM area commander’, has dashed off a letter to Bareilly railway station superintendent Satyaveer Singh issuing the threat.
“I, area, commander of the IM, want to inform that if Kanwarias pass through the Muslim dominated areas, we will bomb the railway station. Better inform the police and the administration,” the letter said.
The report quotes Krishan Avtar, station house officer of the government railway police, as saying, “We are keeping a close eye on each and every person visiting station.”
In 2017, there was a clash in Bareilly between the Muslim mob and the Kanwarias over taking out their ’kanwar yatra’through their locality.
